People for Parks was founded 20 years ago to respond
to a problem the L.A. Times characterized as
“dead parks.” Our mission is more vital now than
ever. The worst economic crisis since the Great
Depression threatens to undo all the gains we have
made, and PFP urgently needs your financial support
to face the challenge.
PFP-sponsored ballot
measures have generated more than $2 billion for
public parks and recreation, but our small
organization does not receive a dime from those
funds. We depend on small donations from people like
you to continue our work. Large contributions, of
course, are always welcome.
People for Parks is a 501(c)(3), and contributions before
the end of December are deductible on your 2009
