On Wednesday, Oct. 12, People for Parks joined the City and County of L.A. to honor four Angelenos who have made significant contributions to public recreation – Teaching Gardens founders Kelly Meyer and Chi Kim, County Supervisor Mike Antonovich and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck – and nine Park Heroes who have "gone the extra mile" to make our parks special.
