Last Saturday was pure perfection at our 20th St Community School Park. The sky was blue and sunny and the breeze was crisp. Turnout was great. A couple of dads were playing a pick-up basketball game with their kids. A mom was playing handball with her son. Younger kids were horsing around on the playground apparatus or making “tissue art” at the crafts table. Everywhere you looked, people were playing, relaxing and connecting. We also welcomed a new Beyond the Bell monitor, Pedro Mendez to the team! He’s a football and soccer champ, so next weekend he’s going to lead a couple of scrimmages in honor of the Super Bowl (go Rams!) All in all, it was the kind of park day that makes our jobs at PFP so rewarding. Come and visit sometime.
